ABOUT UMD Children’s Place
UMD Children’s Place is a University of Minnesota operated childcare center and is part of CEHSP, College of Education Health and Human Service Professionals. The facility is located on the campus of University of Minnesota Duluth in the Kirby Plaza Building and is licensed to provide full-time care to 46 children between the ages of 6 weeks and the first day of school.
UMD Children’s Place is founded on the belief of the critical importance of the first years of life and the need to embrace the diversity of our world today. The mission of UMD Children’s Place is two-fold:
· To provide quality, nurturing care of children while their families are at work or study.
· To provide interdisciplinary education opportunities for UMD students in order to enhance their classroom learning with practical experience.
ABOUT THE ASSISTANT Child Care Teacher Job Post
***This is an AFSCME Technical position** (Union Represented)
It is a full-time 12-month continuous appointment
40 hrs per week (M-F, 9am-5pm.)
Pay Range: $22.94 to 23.30 per hour. Full University Benefits
This hiring is a UMN Job classification 4909 position and candidates would need to qualify under State of MN Human Services Licensing Act, Rule 3 (9503.0032). Which is for Teacher.
